BUSINESS AREA: Sarnoff Genzyme (Specialty Care)

Medical Scientific Liaison purpose is to engage with physicians and healthcare providers in their respective region. MSLs should be the trusted source of medical information and key interface for scientific interactions about Sanofi Genzyme products in the respective disease areas, support identification & prioritization of relevant Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and stakeholders and provide feedback insights from the field, for the benefit of patient care and scientific/clinical progress


    • Identify, build & maintain a solid network and partnerships with stakeholders
    • Implement KOL engagement plans in support of market access for product launches – from vaccine recommendations to reimbursement & implementation and through to lifecycle expansion
    • Systematically report field insights to Country / Regional / Global Medical Affairs
    • Support external presentations through speaker briefings and event coordination
    • May potentially help identify appropriate clinical trial / field epidemiology investigators / trial sites, and be a primary contact for investigator-sponsored studies
    • Provide medical support and training to internal staff as appropriately requested
    • Support other functions in interactions with external stakeholders on medical topics

Position scope & responsibilities will be refined depending on country needs – In larger countries, MSL Manager position may be created to manage a team of MSLs

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience with strong scientific background & technical expertise in basic research, immunology, clinical development
  • Expertise in disease area and Immunology (Rheumatology or Atopic Dermatitis or Asthma) is an asset
  • Degree in Medicine, Biology, Pharmacy or other bioscience degrees / PhD
  • Fluent in English
  • Understanding importance of and application of compliance policies
  • Software, internet, social and media technology skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, experienced in the delivery of scientific presentations and in engaging into scientific discussions with subject matter experts
  • Working knowledge of the Healthcare system and of decision-making processes
  • Able to build strong working relationships to achieve optimal outcomes for patients
  • Ability to collaborate and share information to contribute to the planning process and execute the plan in line with objectives.
