Job Description

BUSINESS AREA: Sanofi Genzyme (Specialty Care)

Within the framework of Country strategy and commercial policy, manage regional performance to achieve sales targets by coordinating and developing a sales representatives network respecting allocated budget, applicable procedures and country regulations


  • Develop region by implementing sectors tactics consistent with national strategy
  • Design and implement sales strategy in the region: involve action plan team, contribute to Sanofi image building, facilitate information sharing and reinforce client monitoring
  • Lead regional sales representatives team development:
    – Lead his/her team and develop and promote its qualified employees
    – Make sure his/her collaborators have relevant expertise to develop a high value relationship with healthcare professionals and contribute to a better patient care
  • Reinforce coordination role between Country HQ and sales force
    – Guarantee fluid up and down communication and reliable reporting


  • 5+ years sales experience in healthcare / pharmaceutical / biotech industry, combined with 3 years’ experience in a sales management or dedicated coaching role
  • Experience of recent launch in speciality care area required
  • Expertise in disease area and Immunology (Rheumatology or Atopic Dermatitis or Asthma) is an asset
  • Experience of successfully leading a sales team to achieve business targets
  • Possesses excellent and broad-based therapy area and competitor knowledge to drive differentiation
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand the systems and processes and resources available internally and bring in the right expertise at the right time to drive commercial sales success locally
  • Working knowledge of the healthcare system and of decision-making processes
  • Excellent, demonstrable influencing and communication skills that builds effective customer relationships and creates local, broad advocacy for Sanofi
  • Strong team player with the ability to effectively manage team members to achieve their role objectives by engaging in strong performance management processes and to influence a team within a changing environment
  • Able to successfully work independently and take individual accountability for actions and results
  • Proven commercial acumen, driven by clear insight & understanding of the business market dynamics and the ability to recognise and address urgent issues
  • Good level of organisational and analytical skills
